Modani Modern Furniture has inspired me to design a living room reflecting my own personal style. I chose the Phantom Black Sofa.The look I was going for is mostly feminine with a mix of hard metals, wood accents and pops of color.

I received a special package today! Woot! I’m finally able to give these Makeup Geek shadows a whirl. I ordered 6 shades. Silly me did not realize I could fit 9 shades in a Z Palette.
I picked up the Z Palette from Ebay for $9. It was labeled as factory defect which is totally fine by me because there is only a dent when I lift the top to reveal the shadows. The shadows I chose are all natural shades. I desperately needed some matte shades to compliment all the Urban Decay Naked palettes I own. Each shadow was an affordable $5.99. Shipping came through First Class USPS Mail, so it took a solid week to arrive.

I hope these shadows are as amazing as I’ve heard. What other colors should I add to my collection?
I’ve had my eye on a saffiano tote but wasn’t sure if I wanted to spend my life savings on a Prada bag or keep it affordable with a Kate Spade. I did some research online and decided I would wait for a big outlet sale then go ham at Kate Spade. To my dismay some forum posted a statement calling the Kate Spade outlet items poor quality and that the outlet items were specifically manufactured for the outlets.
I called the Livermore, Ca. Kate Spade outlet to investigate and asked the following questions and have included the associates answers.
Q:Do you sell Kate Spade boutique overstocks and past seasons styles?
A: Yes.
Q: Does the outlet manufacture different product specifically for the outlet shopper?
A: Yes.
Q: Where does the product come from?
A: Same factory, same material, & same craftsmanship. Different styles.
Q: How can I tell the difference between outlet bags and actual boutique items?
A: There is a separate section for boutique items but there is no real difference. Just different styles. All items come from the exact same factory using the same materials. However, the product codes on the outlet items start with a W and the retail items start with a P and the outlet styles have a gold metal plate as the signature and the boutique styles are stamped with Kate Spade New York. Personally, I like the outlets’ gold plate over the stamp.
So in conclusion, I’m fine with that. I will be spending my 4th of July outlet shopping. I hope to come across a new saffiano Kate Spade tote to take home. What are you thoughts about outlet shopping? Please share your experience with me!

I can’t stop staring at this creamy peach laquer. My boyfriend even likes it. It took 3 coats to reach this barely opaque color.
I walked into Sephora today just to browse. I was on a ride along, my friend needed to pick up a refill of her Bare Minerals foundation. I walked over to the Lorac stand to see what was new and noticed a bright red clearance sign up. There was one last eye primer left and it was $5.25 off the original retail so I had to grab it. Who actually walks out of Sephora empty handed right? My favorite eye shadow primer is by Lorac it’s called the “Behind the scenes primer”. It’s the only one that can keep my oily eyelids in check.
At the checkout stand I asked the cashier what was going on with the sale. Is Lorac going out of business or just leaving Sephora? She explained to me that the owner of Lorac, Carol Shaw has decided not to do business with Sephora anymore, she is pulling her line from Sephora stores and Sephora.com. You may have noticed the Lorac Pro Palette has been out of stock for quite some time. I’m not quite sure why but there could be a plethora of reasons. The cost of doing business with Sephora may not be worth it or perhaps Carol has some growth strategies up her sleeve. Let’s juts hope I can find the Lorac Pro palette when I decide to buy it. I know, I’m a little late.
I wanted to let you know that the new birthday gift is available and it’s fabulous! I walked out of there with a mini MUFE lipstick in Natural N9 and the new Smokey Lash Extravagant mascara.
I’m an oily skin girl living in a winter dry world. I’m oily all over but come fall/winter my skin starts to dry up around my mouth, chin and nose. I spent hours on Sephora.com reading reviews, ratings and product descriptions looking for a moisturizer to get me though the season. I found the Origins Plantscription SPF 25 Anti-aging Oil Free Cream and I’m happy to say we are a match!
This cream absorbs quickly, does not leave me feeling greasy, has an SPF of 25, is cruelty free, has no parabens and has plenty of natural oils to hydrate and so much more. If you are an oily skin person looking for some extra moisture without all the fuss I suggest you give this a whirl. I purchased this on Sephora.com for $55. Keep in mind I don’t use very much and concentrate the product on dryer areas. I am still pretty oily on my forehead and cheeks.
Beauty Tip: Skin that is well exfoliated will drink up moisture better.

What a beautiful alternative to black polish. I’ll be keeping this in my collection for a while.
This polish contains gold and silver glitter and feels like sand paper on the nails. You can definitely count this as a texture polish.
This is limited edition, purchased from CVS.
UPDATE: So I was able to place an order on Urbandecay.com on November 21. I received an email from Urban Decay saying the Naked 3 was now in stock and to place an order. I did so at 10:15 AM PST. A few hours later the item was out of stock and is still showing out of stock online. It’s 11/24 5:43 PM PST. What does it take for you to get naked? Not much for me. Urban Decay will soon release their Naked3 Palette. This new product is inspired by rose gold hues. The case is beautiful and the shades are more warmer. All brand new shades too! Would you buy this just to have it or can you see yourself using these shades on a daily basis? I’d like to hear your opinion below.

I’ve heard this is set to release in December but I’ve also heard they are waiting for January. I wouldn’t be surprised if they release this on the Urban Decay site first and then waited to allow Sephora to sell it. If you want first hand access you should sign up for the Urban Decay email list.

It took 4 layers of the Shark’s Cove to get an opaque finish then I added the Essie Lux Effects Glitter to the tips and finished it off with Seche Vite Quick dry.
